One of the most popular attractions and the main reason visitors come to Cairns and the Far North is to swim in our crystal clear waters with exotic marine life. SCUBA diving is very popular and the Great Barrier Reef has become a highly regarded destination for divers from all over the world.

There are plenty of other activities to participate in for those who do not SCUBA dive.

Green Island

Green Island is situated 27 Kilometres off the North East of Cairns. It is considered a True Coral Cay of exceptional beauty surrounded by Reef and covered by unspoilt Rainforest.

Fitzroy Island

Fitzroy Island is situated approximately 25 kilometres from Cairns and is a continental type Island that is made up of 324 hectares of Rainforest and is almost completely surrounded by Coral Reef. The Island is the third most northerly Island in The Great Barrier Reef.

 

 

Bedarra Island

Bedarra Island is a very exclusive, very luxurious and very beautiful Island. This unique Island only caters for up to 32 guests at any one time, which allows you to think and feel that most of the time you have the Island and staff to yourself.

 

 

Dunk Island

Dunk Island is situated about 60 kilometres North of Townsville and 120 kilometres South of Cairns. Dunk Island would have to be the best known of Australia's Tropic Isles, which makes up part of the Family Group of Islands and is considered the most Tropical on The Great Barrier Reef in terms of it's vegetation.

 

 

Hinchinbrook Island

Hinchinbrook Island is Australia's Largest Island National Park. The Island abounds in flora, fauna, palm-fringed beaches, mangrove waterways and rugged granite crags.

 

 

Thursday Island

Thursday Island is an Island that sets it's own pace, allowing you to relax without the constant demands of 'City Living'. Here you can enjoy some of the comforts of home but on a much smaller scale and with some real culture thrown in.
