Ceremonies
"I wrote your name
in the sand
but the waves washed it away,
then I wrote it in the sky
but the wind blew it away,
so I wrote it in my heart
and that's where it will stay."

Wedding Ceremonies
A wedding is one of the truly special moments of your life. You as a couple commit to each other and vow to love and respect each other as individuals and as one.
I have had the privilege of marrying many couples from around the World and across Australia and they have all agreed that the day was treated with warmth and professionalism.
Read what other couples had to say about my Wedding Ceremonies.
Commitment Ceremony
A commitment ceremony is for couples who wish to affirm their relationship without the legalities involved in marriage. Commitment ceremonies are a warm and heart felt affair with the man and woman creating a unique bond between them.
Renewal of Vows
"I love you differently to the love I had for you on our wedding day, but I want you to know that my commitment to you is just as strong and maybe even stronger than it was because of what we have shared together..."
Renewing your Wedding Vows are suitable for couples who wish to reaffirm the commitment they made years before, now surrounded by their children and friends, the ceremony is arranged some what like a marriage ceremony, though the introduction is very personal
There are many reasons for a couple to reaffirm their commitment to one another. But the most common would be to re-enact their wedding day with their old friends and new ones as well as family and possibly their children.
Naming Ceremonies
Name giving ceremonies has a history almost as old as the human race. It symbolises a significant event in a couples life and that of the child. It is a considered a formal introduction of your newborn to your family and friends and for them to share the naming of the child in their presence.
A name giving ceremony is not a baptism or a christening. The name giving ceremony conducted by a civil celebrant is a fulfilling and meaningful experience for all concerned. It is an occasion when a new birth is celebrated and a child is welcomed into the world. Family relationships are deepened, and they become more fully aware of their responsibilities.
Name giving ceremonies can be conducted in Cairns, Port Douglas, Yungaburra and throughout Far North Queensland. Please contact me for more information about availability.
God Parents
Couples may elect to have "God Parents" for the child. God Parents are traditionally mentors that you as a couple have decided to help guide and teach your children alongside the parents.
Gay Commitment Ceremonies
I understand the need for all couples to commit to one another and have done many ceremonies in the past for gay couples.
The non-denomination wedding ceremony gives couples the opportunity to pledge their commitment to each other publicly before friends and family. This public commitment is a powerful statement about a couples relationship and their devotion to each other.
Please feel free to contact me about your special requirements and I will give you a special day that will be long remembered.
Funeral Service
A funeral service or funeral memorial can be conducted by a celebrant; it is more about the celebration of a persons' life rather than the end. I offer a warm and sensitive funeral ceremony for family and friends of the deceased.
The now established life-centred or personal funeral, sprung from the conviction that the funeral should primarily recognise and pay tribute to the life of the deceased person.
I have prepared a service that offers the best kind of comfort, support, and sense of hope to the survivors. A properly prepared, checked with the family and delivered with care and sensitivity, to help people live through their feelings and work towards living normally without their loved one.
